Economic growth continues

Peru's GDP (Gross Domestic Product) indicated a year-to-date increase of 7.15% in the first trimester of 2006 which means 57 consecutive months of economic growth - 2.15% beyond what was expected.
According to the National Institute for Statistics and Information, last year the most productive sector was the fishing industry with an increase of 6.85%, followed by the construction industry with 16.3%. Economic growth within the mining sector increased by 4.97%.
