Alan Garcia: Odebrecht's candidate for 2016?

According to João Santana, a Brazilian publicist, Odebrecht sought to hire him as an advisor for Alan García’s 2016 presidential election. His testimony to Judge Sergio Mora was published by Lima newspapers on 13 May. He alleges that he was approached by the construction giant to help promote García’s campaign. Odebrecht was the beneficiary of large contracts during García’s second administration (2006-11). He says he turned down Odebrecht’s offer. For his part, García flatly denies Santana’s allegations .
