In response to the request by the UK Parliament’s Select Committee on Foreign Affairs, the PSG submitted a document outlining problems associated with extractive industries in Peru and the observance of human rights standards. As well as offering an institutional profile, the document looks at the expansion of extractives in the Andean region and in Peru specifically, its implications for development, and how this has impinged on human rights observance. The Select Committee is reviewing relations between the UK and South American countries on a variety of different themes. To access the PSG document, see here.
