The Frente Amplio released its list of candidates for Lima this week. Number one is Marisa Glave, who was formerly member (regidora) of the Lima Metropolitan Council under Susana Villarán. In second place is Manuel Dammert, a key spokesman for the left in the current Congress who has strongly backed the campaign to increase the powers and responsibilities of the state oil company Petroperú. Third is Indira Huilca, daughter of the CGTP union leader Pedro Huilca assassinated during the period of the Fujimori government. And fourth is the singer Martina Portocarrero. She is a controversial choice given her expressions of sympathy in the past for Sendero Luminoso. The list also includes the name of Humberto Campodónico, the former president of Petroperú, but only in 36th place. A notable absence in the complete list is Sergio Tejada. http://elcomercio.pe/politica/gobierno/esta-lista-frente-amplio-lima-noticia-1873151?flsm=1
